Building My Own Corner of the Internet.

From an idea I've had for years to finally building something of my own.

So, where did this all start?

I've wanted to build my own website for years. Somewhere I could share what I'm working on, document my projects and generally have my own little corner of the internet.

The problem was, I never really knew where to start.

Recently, I decided to stop thinking about it and actually give it a go. And that's how RyanTheEngineer began.

What's the idea?

I'm an engineer by trade, but my interests go well beyond what I do at work. I'm into technology, electronics, programming, robotics and sim racing.

I wanted somewhere to bring all those interests together. Not a corporate portfolio or an online CV. Just a place where I can share the things I enjoy.

Building the foundations

I started with three files: HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

From there, I've been learning how websites are structured, how styling works and how to turn ideas into something I can actually see on screen.

What's next?

This is only the beginning. I've got plenty of ideas for the site, including dedicated project pages, development logs and interactive engineering tools.

Project JARVIS, my AI engineering assistant, is going to be a big part of that journey.

For now, I'm just enjoying learning something new and seeing it all come together.

Anyway, back to the workshop. ๐Ÿค˜
